Frequently asked questions and answers
Q: Where can I find further information on Project Rockstar and what it’s like to be a Rockstar?
A: Have a read through the daily blogs of the 2011 Rockstars (PR2011 daily blogs) and check out the book Myths and Masters of the Game, which details the daily lives of the Rockstar 2009 participants
Q: How much is this going to cost me? How much should I budget for if I’m applying?
A: Although none of the instructors and assistants are charging for their time or services, costs for the project can be considerable. We will require an upfront payment of $12,000 to cover the cost of accommodations and flights between Las Vegas to Budapest and Budapest to Stockholm for all participants and 3 instructors throughout the duration of the project. Upfront payment allows for pooling, which leads to group discounts, joint flights, etc… Additionally, Rockstars should budget for new clothes (as part of their fashion/style makeovers), food, alcohol and other standard day-to-day living expenses. Keep in mind, Stockholm is expensive compared to most countries so you may need to budget extra funds for your time there
Ultimately, where there is a will, there is a way. If you are strong-minded and want to participate, you could always think of ways to raise the money – you are already being met over 95% of the way of what the program should cost
Q: I’m old, ugly, short, fat and bald. Is it worth me applying?
A: If that’s all you think you are then probably not. If you know you are capable of more than life is currently offering you, particularly as it relates to your abilities with attractive women, and you can demonstrate achievement in other areas of your life in your application form, then yes, it’s completely worth applying
Q: Is this all just about having sex with as many women as possible?
A: Project Rockstar is a complete life transformation program. As it is sponsored by and primarily taught by Love Systems, a large element is on dating (meaning in this case, meeting and attracting the opposite sex). However, the curriculum is expansive and covers fitness, nutrition and relationships of all kinds. More specifically that means you will be educated in social skills and dynamics, fashion, exercise, diet, motivation, leadership, and deep identity level change, as well as building a close network of friends with the instructors and your fellow Rockstars
Project Rockstar is a fantastic opportunity to showcase to the world the amazing work Love Systems does, and just how far we have evolved from the roots or origin of the industry. What was once deemed a “community” of weird guys plotting tricks and tactics to win women over has become something far greater. This project allows us the opportunity to demonstrate what we as a Company are really about, what it is we really teach, and the profound impact we can have on peoples’ lives
Q: Will I be photographed and public facing if I am chosen to participate
A: No, not unless you want to be. Unlike programs of years past, we have decided to not make it mandatory to have your identity revealed or videos/photos of you released to the public. Overall, we have found that this detracts from high quality candidates who would have otherwise applied and does not add much value to the program
Q: Do I have to give up work for 9 weeks to participate?
A: Essentially, yes. Project Rockstar is a very intense program – you will be actively involved in activities and training at all hours of the day and night. To get the most out of it, it is recommended that you do not work or otherwise minimize working commitments for the duration of the project
For high caliber applicants who make a strong case to participate in their application but absolutely cannot take the time off work, exceptions may be made. Be sure to clearly state how you think you will be able to manage your energy and commitment levels if you believe you will have to continue to work during the project
Q: There is a lot of international travel, how many languages do I need to speak?
A: English will get you everywhere you need to go during Project Rockstar. Most people in Budapest and everyone in Stockholm speaks English. In fact, English is a required language in Swedish schools and most people watch American television programs. While a certain instructor (Vici) has decided to master Swedish before the project begins, this is completely unnecessary
Q: How much competition is there going to be for the 8 slots on Project Rockstar?
A: A lot. We had over 300 applications last year. Make sure that you spend time thinking about how to make your application as strong as possible. Many of the successful applicants from last year spent weeks composing their application and sending it to people they trusted to read and proof for them
If it’s clear that you haven’t put a lot of thought into your application (and accordingly, there are a lot of spelling or grammatical errors), then don’t expect to hear back from us. We are looking for high caliber and highly motivated individuals. Write your application to show us that you are one
Q: How do I add a photo of myself into the application form?
A: Please go to http://www.tinypic.com and upload a photo then paste the URL into the application form
